We DONOT cut down any indigenous trees at all. When we say hardwood we mean black wattle not sicklebos, bushveld hard wood or any other indigenous hardwood tree. We name our hardwood because it is important for our customers to know what wood they are getting.

A nameless hardwood could also be an indigenous hardwood, we DONOT sell indigenous hard wood trees.

Black Wattle (Acacia mearnsii) an invader species from Australia is now classified as an alien invasive tree and needs to be removed for our environments sake. We use this because it makes ideal fire wood and charcoal. Additionally by cutting them down and making firewood and other products we are being friends to our environment and assisting in the rehabilitation of the land by encouraging indigenous species to return.
